Accessibility
Accessibility at SHY
SHY should be usable by everyone. Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Where we are today
- Reduce Motion is respected. The app's signature animations — including match moments — honor your system's reduced-motion setting, and this behavior is protected by automated tests.
- Screen-reader labels exist on core interactive elements, and the marketing site is plain semantic HTML.
- Known gaps: parts of the app have not yet had a full assistive-technology audit; some complex gesture interactions (such as press-and-hold) do not yet have equivalent alternatives everywhere; color-contrast review across all themes is ongoing. We have not yet completed a formal WCAG conformance evaluation, so we do not claim conformance today.
Report a barrier
If something in SHY is hard or impossible for you to use, email [email protected] with "Accessibility" in the subject. Reports go to the same queue as bugs and are prioritized.
