Impersonation & Authenticity

SHY runs on real people. Live-capture verification exists so identity is checkable; this policy covers pretending to be someone or something you are not.

What violates this policy

• Using someone else's photos or identity
• AI-generated or heavily manipulated photos presented as your appearance
• Claiming a verification you do not have
• Bots or automated accounts

What does not

• Old-but-real photos of yourself
• Tasteful editing that does not change who you appear to be
• Choosing not to verify (verification is encouraged, and verified accounts are prioritized in discovery)

Enforcement

Impersonation of a real person is a permanent ban. Misleading self-presentation draws content removal and a verification requirement to continue. See how enforcement works. Report violations in-app or via Safety; appeals are always available.
