Scams & Financial Exploitation

Nobody on SHY should ever be asked for money. This policy covers financial exploitation from first message to long-running romance scams.

What violates this policy

• Asking matches for money, gift cards, crypto, or financial help of any kind
• Investment "opportunities," trading tips, or off-platform financial schemes
• Fake emergencies designed to elicit payment
• Commercial solicitation posing as dating

What does not

• Talking about your job or splitting a dinner bill
• Mentioning your own business without soliciting

Enforcement
