Gravity is how you express interest on SHY: a press-and-hold that deepens through five tiers — Notice, Curious, Interested, Really interested, All in. No swipe reflex, no accidental likes.
How it works
- Press and hold on someone. The longer you hold, the deeper the tier — you feel it build.
- Release to send exactly that level of interest. A quick tap sends nothing, ever.
- The other person receives your actual tier — interest arrives with its weight intact.
Why it exists
A swipe costs nothing, so it means nothing. Gravity makes interest a deliberate act, which makes receiving it mean something.
Questions
What happens if I just tap?
Nothing is sent. Gravity requires a deliberate hold — that is the point.
Can someone see me before I send Gravity?
Discovery shows profiles, but interest is only communicated when you choose to send it.
Can I take it back?
You can withdraw interest before it becomes a mutual connection.
